Grow Your Own Beginners Workshop

Join Lil’s Haddington Growing Together Project and Amisfield Walled Garden for an informal workshop helping beginner gardeners get into food growing. We’ll show you haw to create the right environment for your pants to grow and sow seeds, provide tips and growers guides for your plants and you’ll go home with your own cut-and-come-again salad pot to grow on, harvest and eat.

Take a guided tour of the garden and grab a cuppa & a slice. All materials and instruction are included. Thanks to Caledonian Horticulture we have compost and thanks to Merryhatton Garden Centre for for donating the seeds.

Suitable for beginners of all ages 10+ (we hope to run other events for young growers outside school times).

Lil Waste Workshop at SSC Marine Fest (online)

Join us and we will help you understand the impact of your domestic waste, cut unnecessary consumption and reduce how often you have to empty those bins!.

This is an opportunity to examine the everyday choices we make and how they impact upon our local environment. This on-line session will involve some pre-work to audit your waste, as well as follow-up to share your progress after the event.
