Lil is delighted to be extending our collaboration with East Lothian Roots & Fruits.

We love this fellow East Lothian social enterprise. We already have stock in the shop in Elphinstone that locals can pick up when they pop in for their essentials or a cuppa.

Roots & Fruits customers can now order Lil's plastic free organic and non-organic foods, low impact toiletries and household products to be delivered to your door with your Roots & Fruits veg box across East Lothian. Your Lil food will arrive with your Roots & Fruits delivery in food grade recycled paper bags and your refills of detergents etc in recycled bottles. 

Just order online by 12 noon on Monday at www.dolilthings.org/shop  and choose 'East Lothian Roots & Fruits' as your shipping method. We will prepare your order and deliver to them to go out with your usual box delivery on Thursday or Friday.

£10 fruit and veg box - Lettuce, Cucumber, Cherry vine tomatoes, Spring onions, 2 peppers, Cress, Turnip, 2 carrots, 5 plums, 5 apples, 5 bananas, Melon 

£5 fruit and veg Lettuce, 1/2 cucumber, Tomatoes, pepper, Cress, 4 apples, 4 plums, 4 bananas. 
+ bakery products and eggs available.

 

We love what Roots and Fruits do and it is much more than just making fresh food affordable and accessible!

Roots & Fruits also carry out a variety of activities that include –

  • Cookery workshops for people of all ages, living in East Lothian, who have little or no cooking skills

  • Health promotion workshops and presentations in schools, nurseries and community groups, helping people understand the importance of a healthy balanced diet and how it can be achieved

  • Supply of fruit to schools, nurseries, playgroups, after school clubs, community cafes etc for healthy snacks or for sale in tuck shops.
